Image to URL converter
Updated Direct link in one click
Need a link to a picture — for a chat, a support ticket, a product listing or a quick test? Upload it here and ImgDrop gives you a URL that opens the image directly in any browser. No account, no app, no watermark.
How to convert an image to a URL
- Drag the image onto the box above, click it to choose a file, or paste a screenshot from your clipboard.
- Pick how long the link should work (1 hour to 30 days).
- Wait a moment for the upload and safety check.
- Click Copy next to Direct link and paste the URL wherever you need it.
Direct link vs. viewer page
The direct link points at the image file itself, so it can be used inside an <img> tag, a Markdown document or a forum post. The viewer page (imgdrop.dev/i/…) shows the image with copy buttons, its expiry time and a report button — it’s the friendlier link to send to a person.
What you can upload
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (animated too) and AVIF files up to 10 MB and 40 megapixels, up to 10 at once. Screenshots, photos, diagrams, memes and product shots are all fine as long as they follow the content rules.
Safe, temporary and private by default
- Automated safety review. Every image is checked before it goes live; anything against the content rules never gets a link.
- Links expire. Choose 1 hour to 30 days. Expired images are deleted from storage, not just hidden.
- Metadata removed. GPS location, camera serial numbers and editing history are stripped before upload.
- Unlisted. Viewer pages aren’t indexed by search engines and image IDs can’t be guessed — only people you share the link with can find it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I turn an image into a URL?
Drop the image on this page (or paste it with Ctrl/⌘ + V). After a quick safety check you get a direct URL that ends in the file’s extension, plus a viewer page link.
Can I convert an image to a URL on my phone?
Yes. Tap the upload box to pick a photo from your camera roll. The page works in Safari, Chrome and every modern mobile browser.
How long do links last?
You choose 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days (the default) or 30 days when you upload. When the time is up the image is deleted automatically and the link stops working. ImgDrop does not offer permanent hosting.
Is my photo’s location removed?
Yes. Before upload, ImgDrop strips EXIF, GPS, camera and XMP metadata from JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF files in your browser, and the server strips it again. The pixels are not re-compressed unless the photo needs rotating or is too large.
Is ImgDrop free?
Yes. There’s no account, no watermark and no fee. Clearly labeled sponsors keep the service free.
