Image hosting for forums (BBCode)

Updated Direct link in one click

Many forums don’t store images themselves — they display pictures from a link using BBCode. ImgDrop hosts your image and generates the exact code to paste into your post.

Drop images, click to choose, or paste (Ctrl/⌘ + V)
JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF or AVIF · up to 10 MB · 10 at a time · metadata (EXIF/GPS) removed

By uploading you agree to the content rules. Every image is safety-checked before it goes live.

How to post an image on a forum

  1. Upload your image(s).
  2. Copy BBCode — or Forum (linked BBCode) for a clickable image.
  3. Paste it into your forum post and preview.

Some forums resize large images automatically; others don’t. For screenshots, a width of 1280–1600 pixels is a safe choice.

Safe, temporary and private by default

  • Automated safety review. Every image is checked before it goes live; anything against the content rules never gets a link.
  • Links expire. Choose 1 hour to 30 days. Expired images are deleted from storage, not just hidden.
  • Metadata removed. GPS location, camera serial numbers and editing history are stripped before upload.
  • Unlisted. Viewer pages aren’t indexed by search engines and image IDs can’t be guessed — only people you share the link with can find it.

Frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between the two BBCode options?

BBCode is just [img]URL[/img] and shows the image inline. Forum (linked BBCode) wraps it in [url=…] so clicking the image opens the full-size viewer page.

Will my forum images disappear?

Yes, eventually — every ImgDrop link expires (30 days at most). That suits support threads, sales posts and discussions. For permanent posts, use your forum’s own attachment feature.

Can I post a whole gallery?

Upload up to 10 images at once, then use “Copy BBCode” to copy all of them, one per line.

Is ImgDrop free?

Yes. There’s no account, no watermark and no fee. Clearly labeled sponsors keep the service free.
