Upload an image for Discord

Updated Direct link in one click

Discord bots, webhooks and rich embeds need a public image URL — they can’t use a file on your computer. Upload the picture here, copy the direct link and paste it into your message, embed builder or bot code.

By uploading you agree to the content rules. Every image is safety-checked before it goes live.

How to get a Discord image link

  1. Upload or paste the image above.
  2. Choose how long it should stay up (embeds: pick 30 days).
  3. Copy the Direct link.
  4. Paste it in a message, or in the image / thumbnail URL of your webhook or bot embed.

Webhook example

{
  "embeds": [{
    "title": "Patch notes",
    "image": { "url": "https://…/i/aB3dE5gH7k-….png" }
  }]
}

Good to know

  • Animated GIFs and animated WebP stay animated.
  • Links expire on the schedule you pick; after that the embed shows a broken image. Re-upload for long-lived embeds.
  • Discord’s own rules still apply in your server — and ImgDrop’s content rules apply to every upload.

Safe, temporary and private by default

  • Automated safety review. Every image is checked before it goes live; anything against the content rules never gets a link.
  • Links expire. Choose 1 hour to 30 days. Expired images are deleted from storage, not just hidden.
  • Metadata removed. GPS location, camera serial numbers and editing history are stripped before upload.
  • Unlisted. Viewer pages aren’t indexed by search engines and image IDs can’t be guessed — only people you share the link with can find it.

Frequently asked questions

Why use a link instead of attaching the file on Discord?

Links work in places attachments don’t: bot and webhook embeds (image and thumbnail fields), channels with attachments disabled, and messages you want to edit later. A link also avoids re-uploading the same image to several servers.

Will the image preview in Discord?

Yes. Paste the direct link and Discord shows the image inline. The viewer page link also previews, with the image as its card.

Can I use it in a webhook or bot embed?

Yes — put the direct link in the embed’s image.url or thumbnail.url. Pick 30 days for embeds that should stay visible longer.

How long do links last?

You choose 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days (the default) or 30 days when you upload. When the time is up the image is deleted automatically and the link stops working. ImgDrop does not offer permanent hosting.
